Your 2014–2015 relaunch
Leo, it has been 12 years since Jupiter the problem-solver was in your own sign. As you read this, at the end of July and start of August, wheels are already turning in your horoscope. The First House of your solar chart, which describes your image, brand, personal appearance, reputation and “shop window” (to quote Nancy Mitford, who had the Moon in Leo) is lit up. The spotlight is already there – the Sun entered Leo a few days ago as I write this. What you will notice between here and the end of August 2014 is the reaction and feedback to Brand Me, and what that shows you about new solutions, opportunities and possibilities.
The wonderful and remarkable solutions, open doors and glittering chances, which surround every aspect of your look and image, will gather speed in September; and by Christmas 2014 you should be shaking your head at how much has improved in such a short space of time. By August 2015, the transit is complete. No matter if your priority is your body, face, hair, wardrobe, internet profile, reputation or other “me” agenda, if you respond quickly and energetically to every single helping hand you are being given, amazing things will result. One last word on Jupiter in Leo: he is a fixer by nature. If there is any person, situation or organisation that is holding you back from your own greater glory, there may be a now-or-never moment by August 2014 (as you read this) that solves the problem. Who are you not to shine? You are ruled by the Sun. Your time is now.
As Fortuna, the asteroid daughter of Jupiter, is also in Leo during this crucial European and American summer, you can expect the wheel of fortune to spin in relation to this. In other words, every low is a high – and every high is a low – and then every low is a high again. This strongly affects your mirror reflection, social-media status, television, photographic or film image – and so on. Life may seem giddy and rather strangely fated over the summer, yet you will gain each time from every spin of the wheel. Trust the process. Fortuna, like her father Jupiter, is what is known as a “benefic” in old astrology. She benefits you. At a certain point she will leave Leo, though, and you will find the spinning wheel of fate and fortune stops. What remains is a new you, or a big layer peeled off the old you.
And what sort of persona is revealed? Well, Leo has long been associated with queens and princesses, through the lion’s association with European royalty. Astrology works symbolically and through synchronicity. Lions are also associated with the word “pride”, and of course monarchs are proud creatures. They have to be, to preserve the act that runs the kingdom. What else defines Leo women? Their heirs and dynasty. The next generation (or the one after that) is bound to inherit the legacy of the Leo’s personality. You may have children, young relatives or godchildren, who are about to become terribly important (especially after December 2014). This is part of the relaunch. Alternatively, the issue may be a professional or part-time role involving babies, children, teenagers or even young adults – depending on your age. Again, this becomes crucial after Christmas 2014. I am not saying any of this is going to be easy. It will be hard work, right through 2015 and 2019; yet, if you are curious about the core of this relaunch, rebirth and renaissance you are experiencing, you must turn to the next generation and your relationship with it, as part of the answer.
Those who come after you
Those who come after you are the godchildren, the sons and daughters, the grandchildren, the nieces and nephews in your world. They are also the audience for your children’s books (JK Rowling is a Leo; so was Beatrix Potter). Finally, Leo is the sign to be associated with tremendous leadership of younger people – those born 20 years or more after you. Much as I wish I could say all this was going to be simple, fast and easy for you, it will be the most tremendously hard work. Your leading role with this generation is innately linked to the fantastic image-boosters to come; yet, with Saturn in your Fifth Solar House from Christmas right through 2015 and 2019, you are going to face unavoidable obstacles, waiting games and learning experiences.
Some can be avoided, though. If you read my website regularly, you will know that around 13 and 14 June there was a Full Moon, which was also a clear warning sign to you – hopefully you stepped around that rather large future problem. (If you missed it, you can look back at old forecasts for Leo on my website, at jessicaadams.com.)
Well, astrology is there to be used. Please be extremely canny about decisions you make in November and December 2014, as you must live with them for around two years. Becoming pregnant, pursuing adoption or IVF, becoming a stepmother – or taking a lover young enough to be your son – all these are good examples of what I am talking about. Work with the idea that the Fifth House is about the next generation, born 20 years or more after you, and then consider what or whom you are signing up to, from Guy Fawkes Night to New Year’s Day. On the most basic note, looking at your horoscope brings me to suggest that an unplanned, unwanted pregnancy is a bigger risk during the winter, and it would have a long-term ripple effect in 2015 and 2019 you had not truly anticipated. That’s what Saturn in the Fifth House does.
Uranus, Neptune and Pluto in your chart
The really slow-moving planets – Uranus, Neptune and Pluto – continue in the same signs for some years. Uranus describes the process of radical change, freedom and revolution; he is in the most wonderful position in your horoscope – even as you read this – and will remain so until August 2015. Uranus will trine Jupiter, and your travel, foreign, internet, publishing and academic/educational agenda will take off in a way that enhances your name, face, persona, reputation and so on. You will also be electrified by the possibilities for brand-new freedom and thrilling change.
Neptune is the planet that reveals the escapes in your life. This will not surprise you, but the money, house, apartment, business, charity and/or precious possessions have provided you with a Yellow Submarine trip out of reality for months. The presence of Salacia and Chiron next to Neptune in your chart has not helped – everything is a way out or an experiment. The golden rule from July 2014 to August 2015 is to anchor all this in the real world. Seek the most sensible, time-honoured, dull, grounded advice you can trust, and pay for it if you have to. Keep it real, even when it all seems like some sort of wow-factor voyage.
Pluto is the final consideration. There will be many more changes in the balance of power in your chosen field, business, workplace or industry by your birthday in 2015, and the only issue is the practical nature of any new arrangement (will all those involved actually be able to stick to it and make it high-functioning?) along with the fairness factor. It has to balance clashing interests, as you will see in December 2014 and January 2015, and those interests are heavily invested in control and power. You deserve to be empowered too, though, so be firm about your share of the reins.
Your body, in all its aspects – from health, medical care and alternative medicine to food, exercise, sleep and relaxation – is also an ongoing issue. Your body is channelling issues about who or what is in control. Is it you? It should be, because this is your temple. It may, however, be something or someone else, and you need to look at that very carefully. It will be right in front of your eyes from Christmas to the end of January 2015 if you require a wake-up call.
Saturn in Scorpio - your people and place
It will be a relief for you to know that the worst is over in terms of your family, homeland, home town, house, apartment and sense of place, belonging or roots. You have been through the toughest cycle in 29 years since the end of 2012, and yet the second half of 2014 is easier. By Christmas it is mostly over – the weight is off your shoulders, the atmosphere has lifted, the future seems brighter, easier. Until then, please do not complicate life by casting the first stone, or hurling one back. This is a definite risk as Mars enters Scorpio, and the answer lies in a strategy – a way to contain the rather fast, hot energy that is about to be unleashed over the European and American summer. Come with a plan, the way Churchill and Eisenhower came up with a plan. Don’t just give in to physical impulse (in particular) or a dash to the phone or keyboard.
